OneTeacher designs a customized screening tool in order to assess a candidate’s likelihood of fit with your school’s unique requirements and aspirations.
By pre-screening application materials and conducting an initial interview, OneTeacher provides administrators with pre-vetted candidates and easy-to-assess candidate materials for their school-based selection process.

Why does OneTeacher work only with Title I schools?
There are several reasons why OneTeacher’s work focuses on Title I schools. First, everyone on the OneTeacher team taught in Title I schools, and we all have a true passion for ensuring that students in Title I schools have access to the opportunities that a quality education affords. Also we know how hard it is for administrators to find and hire strong teachers, and we believe in helping schools find these great teachers who can be assets for their students and schools. Lastly, through our experience, we have found that Title I schools are not often the top choice for many stronger or more experienced teachers simply because they don’t know how amazing our Title I schools and students are or how to find their “perfect match” school where they can have the biggest impact on students.
Where do you find teachers?
There are multiple streams of work that we employ in order to find teachers that are well-matched to our partner schools, and we continually innovate in our approaches to meet your hiring needs. Typically, about half of our placed teachers came from out-of-state and about 80% of placed teachers have more than one year of teaching experience. We find that our placed candidates generally have two attributes in common: they are passionate about children in low-income, urban communities and they are looking for that right fit at a school where they can make a tremendous, long-term impact.

Definitely! We add significant capacity to your staff, as we have an entire team of professionals working on one specialized thing: providing strong and mission-aligned teachers for your school leaders to review. Because we have a diverse portfolio of partner schools and roles, we’re able to cast a very wide net to interest prospective candidates. While a candidate may not have applied to your roles of their own volition, after speaking with us and learning how they are likely a fit with your school’s mission and philosophy, they become invested and very excited to move forward in your interview process.

Where are OneTeacher’s partner schools located?
Presently our partners are located in the greater Phoenix area, and we plan to expand to other areas of Arizona this year with new partnerships.
When does OneTeacher select candidates for partner schools?
We can help you find candidates all year round! We support schools with new school year placement as well as midyear placement. Our most typical hiring timeframe is November-July with a partnering season of September-February.
